We'd like to congratulate you if you're the type of person who does their part to keep the environment clean by living a green lifestyle in your Edmonton homes. It's not that hard to give back to the environment and make it a better place. For yourself and the others around you. Even if all you do is recycle the pop cans and used metal parts around your home. Every little bit counts.

The next step you can take in your green lifestyle at home is transfer that energy, positivity and enthusiasm to your work place. You don't have to force other people to live green while at work. You just have to do what you're doing, and perhaps a little bit more, at work. Whether you work for a networking events company or at a Greek fusion food restaurant, there are ways to be green at work.

What are some ways in which you can live green while at work? Well, for starters, you can pack a lunch that would be litterless. That means ensuring your lunch at work away from progress reports doesn't include any food related items you have to throw away or litter on the ground. Your litterless lunch would include a lunch bag, food containers, cloth napkins, drink containers, re-usable sandwich bags and re-usable, lightweight, stainless steel cutlery. There'll be no litter coming from that kind of packed lunch.

Another way to live green is through your commuting methods. The next time you're commuting to your job you should consider green commuting options such as biking or walking to work. They are much healthier options as well as environmentally friendly. Just think about how much gas you wouldn't be using in your car. Gas that's dangerous to the planet. Especially since so much of it is consumed on a daily basis by so many people. You'd still be helping the environment out tremendously even if you didn't drive to work, and instead biked or walked, for only one day during the week.

The easiest way to live green while at work revolves around saving energy. Or, rather, we should say, not wasting energy. If you're the last person to leave the break room, turn the lights off. If you're away from the computer, turn it off. If you don't need to print something, leave it turned off until you do. Just, in general, don't leave electrical appliances on when they don't need to be. Follow these above suggestions and you'll be living green at work in no time. Who knows, you might even inspire others to follow in your footsteps. It could happen.
